Who I am...
I am a software engineer who was born and raised in Southern New Jersey, smack dab
in the middle of 5 major US Cities (New York, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Baltimore
and Washington DC). Growing up I had many interests and had a hard time keeping
my head out of the clouds. Art, music, science, physics, engineering, mathematics
and physical activity were all things that highly interested me. I always relished at the opportunity
take things apart and reverse-engineer (hack) stuff around the house.
This continued all the way through high school where I earned the
nickname "MacGyver" (amongst my closest friends). By the time I got to
college, like many people, I still hadn't figured out what I really wanted. After changing majors "several" times,
a life changing event helped to reshape my thinking. I found the focus my life was
missing and ultimately graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science,
with specializations in Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology. Suffice
to say I am no stranger to hard work or keeping an open mind when it comes to finding
unorthodox solutions.
Before graduating I worked for an Architectural Design firm where my job was multidisciplinary.
I did everything from graphic design, to project management, to "architecting" the
company's internal operations software. After six years of service
to this company, I wanted to take it to the next level. So I took a position working
in Princeton, NJ which brought me much closer to the action and allowed me the opportunity to
work under some very skilled individuals.
Over the next three years I worked consulting gig after consulting gig. Six month
contracts at six different places. Writing software ranging from human resource
survey systems, to multimillion dollar packaged insurance software, to communication
software for HD video conferencing and an inventory management system that is currently
running in all six US options exchanges.
All of this moving around was getting to be a bit much I was tired of being a hired
gun, so I found stability at one of the largest companies in the world, Bank of
America. Here I accepted a full-time AVP position working as a Senior Software Engineer.
Each one of these jobs has taught me something different. I have learned about building
software, managing customer expectations, task prioritization, how to organize my
work load, sales and marketing, building trust, interacting with users (non-technical)
and other engineers (technical).
How I can help you...
I can simplify business processes and workflows through technology as-well-as provide
automation to everyday business operations. I develop software, that is ANY software,
that will enhance overall user experience and productivity.
Some examples include (but are not limited to): Website design and development, CRM systems,
inventory managment, mobile applications (droid, iPhone and Windows Mobile), integration
with social media (Facebook, MySpace, FriendFeed, Twitter, etc...), Search Engine
Optimization (SEO), process automation (data driven form entry, pattern matching,
heuristic analysis, scheduled processing), reporting and data warehouse stucturing
and migration planning. I can help your business integrate with other resources and
train your engineers on the importance of user focused software development.
I can even analyze your current processes to identify potential bottlenecks
which can be removed through automation.
Who my clients are...
Past clients include: Federal Aviation Administration, Caliper Corporation, Bank
of America, Glassboro Economic Development, Novanni Group Inc., AdminServer (Oracle),
SFB Market Systems, Clique Communication
